The Bible tells us God worked six days on creation and then rested on the 7th day. Today we use this day as a day of rest and worship. We see later in scripture in Leviticus the concept of the Sabbatical year which was the 7th year. During this year the people of Israel were commanded by God to not plant in the fields. So in conjunction with the number seven and the number of times it is used for rest I will be doing the same. Starting the end of this week, during the 7th month of the year, I will be taking some time of rest to recuperate and get ready for the marathon that will be the rest of 2011. I will be gone all next week on vacation doing some camping, motorcycle riding and spending some intentional time with God. There will be no blog posts during this time. I will post again when I get back. See you on the other side!
